Mold & District Choral Society
Introduction
Flintshire's biggest mixed voice choir around 70 voices strong.
Under our musical director Trystan Lewis and accompanist Philip Knowles,
we present up to four concerts a year of the classical choral repertoire,
sacred and secular. We are a bilingual choir (English and Welsh)
but also sing in other languages as required by the music.
Come and join us either to sing or to listen to our concerts.
Based in the historic market town of Mold in Flintshire, North Wales, the choir gives concerts in Mold Parish Church,
Capel Bethesda and other venues around the area, including St. Asaph Cathedral.
In the last few years we have given performances of Elgars Dream of Gerontius, Mendelssohn's 'Elijah,
Mozarts Requiem and Mass in C minor in Mold, as well as Stainers The Crucifixion and Maunders Olivet to Calvary in Buckley.
We have also joined with Côr Cymysg Dyffryn Conwy in performances of Haydns The Seasons,
Handels Messiah and Mendelssohns Eliajh (in Welsh).
We are always on the lookout for new members - especially Tenors!
Experience of choral singing is useful but not essential. Come and try us out.
